The pumpkin patch

Today Seth and I wanted to go to the pumpkin patch, so we drove there after church. The pumpkin patch was so far away! My gps first said 32 minutes, but with a few wrong turns, it took over 40 minutes. It was in the boonies in the middle of nowhere. We got there, and guess what. CLOSED. So we went to plan B.

We went to Haggen's and played "Pumpkin Patch." First, we picked out our pumpkins from a selection of about 20 pumpkins. The fewer the choices, the easier the decision! At first we were bummed out that we were at the Haggen "pumpkin patch" and not the real pumpkin patch because everyone talked about how good the doughnuts were and how the hay ride was soooo fun. But then we realized that the Haggen pumpkin patch offered the same incentives. Seth and I got bagels. That's actually better than doughnuts because they're much healthier. Second, we didn't need no hay ride. Seth and I took turns giving each other rides on the shopping cart around the store.

We came back and carved pumpkin, drank hot cider, and watched the not so Halloween movie, A Beautiful Mind.
